Detox juice / Ash gourd juice with cucumber / Helps to cleanse toxins from our body

What is Detox? Detox means cleansing the toxins from your body,improve health and promote weight loss. Toxins are developed from indigestion, over eating, not enough gap between meals etc. By removing this toxins you will be benefited in many ways, weight loss, energized, less chance of getting diseases or getting rid of existing diseases etc. Many ways to detox your body like fasting,exercise, healthy eating like avoiding foods that slows down your digestive system which includes gluten,carbohydrates, sodium etc.
Ash gourd/ winter melon/ Vellai poosanikai/Petha is a powerful vegetable, which helps us to keep our brain sharp,cools our body and, it has many benefits in it. Making juice with ash gourd, cucumber, ginger and little lemon juice. Take this juice on empty stomach and eat your breakfast after 1 to 2 hours, that will make wonders in you.Eat healthy and stay healthy!


Ingredients:
Serves 3 to 5
  • 5 to 6 cups – Ash gourd / Winter melon / Vellai poosanikai (chopped into cubes)
  • 1 big – Cucumber (or use 2 medium sized)
  • 1 inch – Ginger
  • Lemon juice as needed


Preparation method:
  1. Wash,peel and chop ash gourd into cubes. Similarly, chop cucumber, ginger and blend everything in a blender or juicer.
  2. Squeeze out the pulp and pour the juice in a serving glasses. Add some lemon juice on top and serve.
  3. Have this juice on your empty stomach and you may eat after 1 to 2 hours. More hours helps to detox your body.


Notes:



  • You may store this juice in a glass bottles for 2 to 3 days.
  • Water should not be used while blending everything. Ash gourd has enough water content which is perfect for juice.
  • You may use blender or juicer for making this juice. Juicer would be the right choice, because it does not remove the fibres from the vegetables or fruits completely.
  • You may just blend ash gourd alone for making this juice. Since ash gourd doesn't have a taste(bland) or a flavor, we are adding cucumber to give a twist.
  • If you have problems like asthma or sinus problem, do not drink this juice because it cools your body and that’s not good for you. To avoid getting cold from drinking this juice, you may add little pepper powder.
  • Lemon juice is completely optional. If you have acidity problem, you may avoid it.
