Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich
Ingredients:
  • Ribeye Steak - 400-500 Gms
  • Sweet Yellow Onion - 1 medium sized, chopped
  • Bell Pepper - 1 medium sized, chopped
  • Finely crushed Garlic - ½ Teaspoon + ¾ Teaspoon
  • Black Pepper powder, as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter 1-2 Tablespoon, at room temperature
  • Olive oil - 2-3 Tablespoon
  • Italian sandwich Hoagie rolls or any long and soft sandwich rolls of your choice - 2 - 3 Numbers
  • Provolone cheese - 2 - 3 slices
  • Cheddar cheese - 2 - 3 slices
Instructions:

Initial Preparation:

  1. Mix butter and ½ teaspoon of crushed garlic in a bowl.
  2. Slice the sandwich rolls lengthwise, by keeping the other end uncut.
  3. Spread the butter-garlic mixture into the sandwich rolls and keep it aside, to get a nice garlic flavor.
  4. Cut the Ribeye Steak into very thin slices and set aside.

Cooking Veggies:

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan, add in the chopped onion and saute until slightly browned.
  2. Add in the chopped bell pepper and saute for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
  3. Remove the onions and bell pepper from pan and set aside.

Philly Cheese Preparation:

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil into the same pan.
  2. Add in the beef slices and saute until the beef is lightly browned.
  3. Season with black pepper powder, salt and mix well. Cook for about 5 -6 minutes on medium heat. Stir occasionally.
  4. Then add in ¾ teaspoon of crushed garlic and mix well.
  5. Return the sauteed veggies into the pan and combine well with the steak pieces.
  6. Divide the mixture into 2-3 equal portions and arrange them lengthwise in the pan.
  7. Place a Provolone and cheddar cheese slice on top of each portion.
  8. Cover and cook until the cheese is melted on low heat.
  9. Meanwhile toast the prepared sandwich rolls until slightly golden in color.
  10. Once the cheese is melted, transfer the steak portions into the sandwich rolls.
  11. Serve hot :)
