as i mentioned earlier, the recipe was invented accidentally in a rush. the chef had to make some classic dessert ice cream in no time and ended up making a mix of ice cream flavours with dry fruits. hence the name gadbad or gadi bidi which literally means confusion or product made in a rush. i personally grew up having a great attachment to this recipe. i use to enjoy this dessert recipe, especially in my summer vacations in ideal pabbas ice cream parlour. the best part of gudbud ice cream recipe is that, there isn’t any hard and fast rule with way or ice cream flavours is chosen. it is completely open-ended and you can mix and match according to your appetite. i personally make it when i have less time to satisfy my guests and i throw all the ice cream flavours available in my freezer.
anyway some easy and important tips, variations and suggestions while making this gadbad ice cream recipe. firstly, add the ice cream scoops and also size of individual scoops according to your glass size. in other words try to make the ice cream scoops with the same size. secondly, i have added vegetarian gelly made with agar agar and adds great taste to the gudbud ice cream. if you are comfortable with gelatin you can add as an alternative to the vegetarian gelatin. moreover, it is not a mandatory ingredient and can be skipped. lastly, it takes only minutes to make and assemble this ice cream. so do not attempt to pre-make it and start assembling it only when it is required.

Ingredients
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
- 1 tbsp grapes, chopped
- 1 tbsp mango, chopped
- 1 tbsp apple, chopped
- 1 scoop strawberry ice cream
- 1 tbsp strawberry jelly
- 2 tbsp nuts, cashew, almonds, pistachios
- 1 tbsp tutti frutti
- 1 scoop mango ice cream
- 1 cherry
Instructions
- firstly, in a tall glass take 1 scoop vanilla ice cream.
- add 1 tbsp grapes, 1 tbsp mango and 1 tbsp apple.
- top with 1 scoop strawberry ice cream.
- further, add 1 tbsp strawberry jelly.
- now add 2 tbsp nuts and 1 tbsp tutti frutti.
- finally, add 1 scoop mango ice cream and garnish gadbad ice cream with a cherry.
how to make gudbud ice cream with step by step photo:
- firstly, in a tall glass take 1 scoop vanilla ice cream.

notes:
- firstly, use any 3 flavoured of ice cream of your choice. vanilla, pista and mango flavour goes well.
- also, add fruits of your choice to make gadbad richer.
- additionally, dry fruit gadbad can be prepared by adding just dry fruits and ice creams.
