HAKKA NOODLES RESTAURANT STYLE

 


Hi all, today I am sharing the recipe of Vegetable Hakka Noodles which is very similar to the ones you get in restaurants. Here I have added only veggies, but you can also add chicken or mushroom to enhance its taste. Do try out the recipe at home. I am sure you will like it.

Serves = 3 to 4
Ingredients

1 packet Hakka noodles (160 gms)
3 tbsp of oil
1 onion thinly sliced
1 capsicum cut into thin strips
1 carrot cut into thin strips
1/4 cabbage cut into strips
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1 tsp finely chopped garlic
3 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp green chilli sauce
2 tsp soya sauce
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)

Method

  • Boil 6 to 7 cups of water in a pan. 
  • When it has started boiling, add the Hakka noodles and boil for 7 to 8 minutes. 
  • By this time the noodles would be cooked. Switch off the flame.
  • Take a strainer and strain the water from the noodles. Add cold water and strain the water again. To prevent the noodles from sticking, take noodles in a bowl, and add ½ a tsp of oil. Mix well. Keep the noodles ready. We will add noodles to the sauce in the end.
  • Meanwhile to make the sauce, heat oil in a pan, then add garlic, ginger and onions, sauté for some time. 
  • Next add capsicum, and carrots and sauté for about 2 minutes. 
  • Then add cabbage and sauté for a minute.
  • Finally add tomato sauce, soya sauce, green chilli sauce, red chili powder, pepper powder and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute. 
  • Once done, add the cooked noodles and stir fry for about a minute. Switch off the gas and transfer the Hakka Noodles to a bowl or plate.
  • Delicious Hakka Noodles is ready to be served.
